Journey to the Cross and Resurrection

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, April 9. We will have our normal worship services at 8:15 and 9:45 am. The Sunday School children will process down the aisle waving palms at the 9:45 service. We remember the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday, April 13, with worship in the Sanctuary at 7:00 pm. We will share Holy Communion together at that service. We revisit the agony of Good Friday on April 14 at 12:30 pm with a service in the Chapel. Finally, we celebrate resurrection and new life on Easter Sunday, April 16, with two services of worship at 8:15 and 9:45. Come and be a part of these important events in the Christian life.

Easter is not the end, though. We will begin Eastertide with the traditional Holy Humor Sunday at both services on April 23. This custom of celebrating God’s gift of humor goes back to the early centuries of the Christian church.

ASP Eat Out Fundraiser-Help Our Youth Get to Kentucky
Do you enjoy eating out? Now you can eat out and support our youth at the same time. Join us on April 19th, May 10th, and June 7th at Cousin’s Subs, 6810 W. State Street. You do not need a flyer, just mention the youth group and you will earn us some money!
You can also join us at Qdoba Mexican Eats, 1417 N. Wauwatosa Avenue on Sunday April 23rd from 11am-3pm. You will need a flyer, which can be found here.

Altar Flowers Needed
Altar flowers add so much to our Sunday morning worship experience, and we are inviting you to think about providing flowers sometime during the coming year. If you haven’t noticed, there’s a new 2017 altar flower calendar located in Fellowship Hall (on the side of the refrigerator by the sink). Think about a person you might like to honor, a special date you want to observe, a deceased loved-one you would like to remember by giving flowers. Please sign your name on the chart, along with what you want printed in the bulletin (flowers in honor, in memory of someone, or to celebrate a special day). Specific instructions are posted on the chart.
