Mitten Tree in Fellowship Hall this year!
We will move the Mitten Tree to the east end of Fellowship Hall this year, so that the Mary of Magdala congregation can participate. Next week, November 19, come pick out a mitten and shop for a needy boy or girl. We have children from Milwaukee Christian Center, La Causa, Council for Spanish Speaking, United Methodist Children’s Services, Northcott and other agencies. Bring your gifts back by Sunday, December 17. If you don’t want to shop, pick a mitten and we will shop for you.  Sponsored by Church & Society.

Calling All Instrumentalists

We are very excited this year to be presenting “JOY” a Christmas Cantata by Joel Raney, which will be a collective venture with Wauwatosa Ave. UMC and West Granville Presbyterian Church. Our Cantata will be performed on December 10 at WAUMC during the 9:45 service and on December 17 at West Granville Presbyterian Church during the morning worship service.

The following instrumentalists are needed:

2 Flutes w 2 Clarinets w 2 Alto Saxes w 2 Trumpets w 2 French Horns w 2 Trombones w 1 String Bass w 3 Violins w 1 Elec. Bass w 1 Viola w 1 Cello w an auxiliary percussionist

This is a wonderful opportunity to share your gifts and talents for our joint Cantata effort.

Please contact either Amy Hufnal at africanqn14@yahoo.com or 414-449-3330, or Steve Hufnal at stevehufnal@yahoo.com or 414-449-3330.

We would like to secure all instrumentalists by the end of October. You will have your music by then. Please consider being a part of this awesome collaboration with WAUMC and West Granville.

Winter Clothing Drive For City Children
Milwaukee Christian Center, Northcott, and out other mitten Tree agencies have asked us again this year to provide warm clothing for their children. Church and Society will collect children's coats, jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, and other warm clothing that are clean and in good condition, sizes infant to age 12, during our Mitten Tree Project. Children's mittens, hats and scarves are also needed. Also new unopened packages of underwear or socks. Please bring your donations to the east end of Fellowship Hall on Sundays. We will deliver them after December 17.

Calling All Snow Shovelers
If you or someone you know is interested in shoveling snow for our local elders please consider becoming a volunteer. After filling out a volunteer application we will add you to a list by neighborhood. You can shovel as little or as much as you want. Even once or twice this winter would be greatly appreciated. Our older adults are desperate for assistance with their shoveling needs. Call 414-453-5750, Greater Tosa Interfaith Neighborhood Outreach Program.
